A dark SUV pulled up a rather short driveway with a sharp crunch, the gates already swinging closed behind it as it was turned carefully into a large car-park. It took only a few minutes to find the parking space reserved specifically for her, and even that small thing made her smile.
This was already home, this was already a place where she belonged.
Already a place where she was noticed.
She felt the familiar pop as the door opened, and stepped out of the SUV, closing and locking the door behind her.
Towering above her, yet sprawling out impossibly in every direction, the Caparo Complex seemed to welcome her, though no one had yet come to greet her. Of the scores of people living here, none had noticed her arrival, or wandered out to check who had pulled up.
Yet this didn’t sadden her. If anything, it made her more cheerful. Here she was, presented with the perfect chance to wreak the havoc the Hat Wearing Mafia were soon, with all their members united, to be known for. Perfect.
A devilish grin quirked her lips, and she hauled one of her bags out of the boot, slinging it over her shoulder, and the left the others waiting. She’d enlist some of the Caparo boys for that particular chore.
Her feet covered the asphalt between one of the many doors and the car quickly, almost too quickly. She wanted to preserve this moment, this moment of utter perfection. Life with the Pack had seemed an eternity away – an impossibility – not five years ago, and now, here she was, standing at the door of the Complex.
However, the perfect peace and quiet – although, she wasn’t entirely sure she wanted to know what the sounds coming from the fifth floor were about – was eliminated as the door slammed roughly open.
Azure had about two seconds to register that, and about half a second to take in the figure exploding from the doorway before she was practically lifted off her feet. There was a muffled squeal against her shoulder, and she was slightly glad it was muffled, for even that squeal made her wince.
"Y-Yin?"
"You bet!" Risa exclaimed, drawing back just enough that Azure could see a wide, deliriously happy grin on her face.
"You weren't supposed to be here yet!" Azure gasped.
Risa pouted. "Aren't you happy to see me?"
She widened her blue eyes slightly, but rather than adorable, it came out rather comical.
Azure laughed slightly, drawing the taller, but younger, girl into a tight hug.
