Snippets shall be posted here, and all that jazz. Also, when posting a Snippet, please describe the time in the story and the scene that's taking place around it, et cetera. It makes for a better reading, if you catch my drift. Well, since I started it, I guess I'm going first...

This scene/snippet thing started with an idea that was tossed around about Meri and Tabbicat (their affectionate nicknames, per us) learning to become Animagi (as I've been corrected about multiple times... -_-) as a survival technique, since things in Winter become a little... hairy. (Ugh. I think I was just murdered by a bad pun.) ... anywho. So they're in the library, in a house. Details of said house have yet to be discussed, and since I have a habit of taking things for granted, I think it should be something that should be brought up in the near future. Just so my little imagination doesn't run away with me. Hehe, "Help, Yin! My imagination is stealing me!" Ahem. Okay, I've entertained you enough. on to the snippet. On another note, I hope I got Mercy right. -_- One last note (gawd, I go on forever...) I've developed that Tabbicat's horrible at Transfiguration. That's crucial to this little bit, so meh. ~*~ Tabitha threw down the pen she was supposed to be taking notes with and dropped her head into the open book on the desktop before her. "I can't learn this," she declared, voice somewhat muffled by the barrier of pages she was speaking through. Mercy raised her eyes from a similar volume resting on the other end of the table. "Keep telling yourself that and you won't," she stated calmly, "It's a self-fulfilling prophecy." Groaning, Tabitha lifted her head and placed her elbows on the table, before resting her forehead in her palms. "Let me rephrase that. I'm not going to learn this today. I'm starving and it's going to rain." "What does that have to do with anything?" "Headache," she mumbled. Mercy sighed, before standing up and crossing to the study window. "I suppose we could get lunch." "And then I'm going to take a nap," Tabitha decided. "You can come back up here and notate your little Australian heart away. Taking care to mark her place in the Tome she had been studying, she stretched languidly and went to the door. "C'mon," she added to her silent study-partner, "I'll make sandwiches."

Hm, seeing as they're hiding... it should be something fairly inconspicuous; I actually toyed with the idea of making it an underground house... but that's something to discuss !
